Power Failure

The first thing to do is to check your trip switches or fuses to see if there is a fault with your home’s wiring or an appliance. Switching off appliances will avoid a surge when power is restored. Do keep a light on though that will alert you when the power is eventually restored.

Generator / Power Supply

Investing in a generator can supply electricity to some of the circuits in your home during a power outage. Generators can supply a range from five watts to five kilowatts; some are suitable for portable power, while others are more suited to being solutions for blackouts. However, you must take precautions when installing, operating and maintaining a generator.
